According to the description of the house Aguttes, this historic SMS is estimated between 100,000 and 200,000 euros.

The message will be sold as an NFT, a digital ownership certificate signed by Nick Read, the current CEO of Vodafone.

The buyer will also receive a digital frame with a 3D animation showing the receipt of the SMS on the phone.

"An animated version of the full replica of the original communication protocol code" will also be given to the buyer, says the auction house.

For its part, Vodafone has pledged to donate the amount collected to the United Nations agency for refugees.
