Scientists at the Geological Institute of Poland have unearthed several hundred dinosaur footprints.

The discovery was made in a clay mine in Borkowice, a town 130 kilometers from Warsaw, Reuters reports.

These prints, which are 200 million years old, are extremely well preserved, so scaly skin of animals can be detected.

“In the tracks left by the dinosaurs, you can read their behavior and habits.

We have traces left by the dinosaurs who run, swim, rest and sit, ”said geologist Grzegorz Niedzwiedzki.

A specimen had to be at least 6 meters

Several hundred traces belonging to at least seven species of dinosaurs have been discovered.

One of these traces, where we can distinguish claws imprinted in the rock, measures 40 centimeters.

The animal must have undoubtedly measured within 6 meters in height.

Scientists are not done with this site which contains many other treasures according to them.

Two hundred boulders with dinosaur fossils were extracted from the mine for analysis.
