The police, who investigated former Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Hyun-mi, on allegations of land speculation, made a decision of 'no charges' against Kim and his family.

Gyeonggi Northern Police Agency announced that it has decided not to appeal the case against former Minister Kim, who is accused of violating the Farmland Act and Real Name Real Estate Act.

The statute of limitations on former Minister Kim's illegal acquisition of farmland had expired, and some cases of non-cultivation of farmland were identified as subject to administrative disposition, and the local government in charge was notified.

He also revealed that there is no reason to believe that he had his younger brothers acquire the real estate using the secrets he had learned in the course of his work.

Former Minister Kim purchased farmland in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do in 2012, but was charged with violating the Farmland Act for not actually doing farming.

In addition, it was revealed that a detached house built in her husband's name was disposed of to her younger brother during his tenure as minister.
