The Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters announced that as of 00:00 today, there were 7,102 new confirmed cases, bringing the total to 496,584.



The number of confirmed cases is still around 7,000, although it is 73 fewer than yesterday (7,175 people), which was the highest number since the first case of Corona 19 in Korea on January 20 last year.



The number of new confirmed cases has been on the rise since the quarantine measures were eased with the implementation of a 'step-by-step recovery' on the 1st of last month.



After entering the 4,000 level for the first time on the 24th of last month (4,115), it surpassed 5,000 on the 1st (5,122), just a week later, and then yesterday it skipped 6,000 and went straight to the 7,000 level. .



The number of patients with severe cases of severe seriousness also recorded an all-time high of 857 today.



This is an increase of 17 from yesterday's previous record of 840.



The number of deaths due to COVID-19 increased by 57, bringing the total to 4,77.



The government has been implementing special quarantine measures such as reducing the size of private gatherings again from the 6th and expanding the quarantine pass (inoculation certificate/voice confirmation), and the effect is expected to appear after this week.
