When the crime was discovered while robbing a supermarket three months after being released from prison, a 30-year-old man who beat his owner and ran away was sentenced to prison.

The 11th Criminal Division of the Gwangju District Court announced today (8th) that it had sentenced A (37), who was charged with quasi-robbery, to three years in prison.

Mr. A broke into a local supermarket between 1:20 and 30 a.m. on July 24, took out 169,000 won from the bag of owner B (80, female), and tried to steal additional coins from the inside closet. He is accused of assaulting B after waking up and running away.

When Mr. A woke up after hearing the sound of a coin and caught Mr. B shouting "It's a thief," he grabbed Mr. B's jacket by the collar, shook it, and fled.

Soon after, Mr. A confirmed that he had left his cell phone, and broke into the mart again and continued the fight with Mr. B.

In the process, Mr. A hit Mr. B's nose with his elbow, knocked him to the floor, and ran away again.

The court said, "Mr. A broke into a supermarket run by the victim at night, stealing property, and assaulting the victim with the aim of avoiding arrest. After that, he hit the victim again to take his cell phone." The guilt is heavy.”

He continued, "The fact that Mr. A committed this crime just three months after he was sentenced to five years in prison for robbery, etc. The sentence was decided in consideration of the fact that the amount of money was not large and that Mr. A voluntarily submitted the stolen property to the investigation agency."
