In order to promote home treatment for COVID-19, the government has decided to provide additional living expenses for those who have completed vaccinations or are under the age of 18, and shorten the management period for family quarantined people from 10 days to 7 days.

In addition, to reduce the burden on medical institutions, it was decided to reduce the health monitoring period from 10 days to 7 days by 3 days and add managed medical institutions.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare's Central Accident Remediation Headquarters (heavy water version) reported today (8th) a plan to improve home treatment with this content to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters.

Last month, we set the basic policy of expanding at-home treatment along with the implementation of a gradual recovery of daily life. .

First of all, the government has decided to additionally pay living expenses to some home treatment families from today to further revitalize home treatment for COVID-19.

If the home treatment target has completed vaccination or is under the age of 18, the cost of living for a four-person household will be increased to 1,64,920 won for 10 days.

Currently, a four-person household has paid 904,920 won for 10 days of living expenses, which has been increased by 460,000 won.

The cost of living for single-person households will increase to 559,000 won as of 10 days, 872,850 won for two-person households, 1,129,280 won for three-person households, and 1,549,000 won for families with five or more members.

In addition, in order to relieve the burden of isolation on the families of confirmed cases, the management period for joint quarantines has been shortened from 10 days to 7 days.

Accordingly, family quarantined persons can go to work or go to school from the 8th day.

However, the shortening of the quarantine period only applies to those who have completed vaccination, and only when the PCR (gene amplification) test is negative on the 6th to 7th day of quarantine, they will be released from quarantine.

Family quarantined people can go out even if they are in quarantine if they need hospital treatment or medicine.

The government also decided to shorten the health monitoring period for at-home healers from 10 days to 7 days to secure the response capacity of medical institutions.

It may be extended if the medical institution determines that further monitoring is necessary.

Each medical institution currently checks the health status twice a day, including a wire check, at least once a day for in-home care workers, and monitors the health three times a day for the intensive care group.

The government has decided to preemptively secure managed medical institutions so that home treatment can be performed without any setbacks, and to prepare a plan to participate in local medical institutions with the Korean Medical Association and the Seoul City Council.

As of the last 3 days, the number of managed medical institutions is 216, including 4 tertiary general hospitals, 120 general hospitals, 88 hospitals, and 4 clinics.

The government decided to recognize the fee for each medical treatment to revitalize the operation of short-term and outpatient treatment centers where home therapists can receive tests and face-to-face treatment.

The cost of treatment is 100,000 won for examination and examination such as chest X-ray and blood test, 100,000 won for CT scan, and 30,000 won for injection management when administering antibody therapy (Lekkorina).

In addition, we support up to KRW 250 million for the installation cost of the medical center.
