<Anchor> A

man in his 30s who installed a camera in front of someone else's house and found out the door code was caught. This man actually used this to break into the house where the woman was alone, but the victim is worried that it will be light punishment.

Reporter Ha Jeong-yeon reports exclusively.

Mr. A, who lives alone in Seoul, had a terrible experience a few months ago.

Because in the evening, someone tried to enter with the correct password for the door lock.

[Victim: I suddenly heard a sound of unlocking the door. I was holding my breath, saying, 'Oh, you must have come to the wrong house after drinking.' But he released your seat right away.]

Had it not been for the latch,

I

would have run into an intruder without moving.

[Victim: I couldn't open it because of the central latch, so I left it and ran away] The

person who was arrested the next day by the police after the report of Mr. A was Mr. Kim, an office worker in his 30s.

As a result of the police investigation, it was revealed that Kim installed a hidden camera near the victim's door and found the password.

Police confirmed that all four people, including Kim's co-workers, suffered similar damage.

This man thought it was a woman's house and attempted to commit a crime, but it turned out that there were also cases where it was a man's house.

The police sent Kim to the prosecution on charges of trespassing only.

This is because Kim did not confess the motive of the crime, and it was determined that it would be difficult to apply other criminal charges.

[Lee Yun-woo / Attorney: If you commit a meticulous crime, it is evaluated that the quality of the crime is very bad.

It seems that there is also a need to actively investigate charges of preparatory conspiracy, punishment for attempted crimes, and violations of the Stalking Punishment Act.] The

prosecutors said they would ask the court for strict punishment, but the victims are anxious.

[I'm still a little scared, actually.

Even if I get really strong, I'm not sure if it will come out in a year or not.

Should I quit the company right now, move, change my car, change my name, change my number, and cut off all ties here...
