It would be nice to receive livelihood or housing benefits to help with the household, but since my parents are in their prime working age, they are unable to receive benefits.



It's not just children who suffer from housing poverty.



Elderly people who are unable to take care of themselves by themselves are also suffering from housing difficulties.

People flocked to this area to escape development in the Gangnam area continue to live here.



The water and sewerage system is not properly equipped, and the toilet is not properly equipped, so it is not possible to wash the skin properly.

According to the results of the “Residential Status Survey for 2020” by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, 4.6% of households that do not meet the minimum housing standards are living in such poor conditions.



Children suffering from housing poverty have poorer physical and mental health than those who do not.



As a result of 「Seoul City Children's Household Survey for 2020」, it was found that children from households living in poverty had twice as many skin diseases as otitis media, allergic rhinitis, and atopic dermatitis compared to children from all households.



From a psychological point of view, it was found that children from housing-deprived households had nearly twice as many behavioral disorders and three times as many mood disorders, such as depression, compared to children from all households.



Experts predicted that during the two years since the outbreak of the pandemic, the poorest people would have experienced housing downward movement pressure, and they would actually be housing downward movement.



In addition, he said that the minimum housing standard should be raised and concrete in order to resolve the blind spots of housing poverty.
