In the majority of messaging applications, it is now common to have stickers or "stickers" in addition to emojis.

These images with a transparent background are larger and more varied than the emojis.

They can also be animated in some cases.

Until now, however, stickers were also available in limited numbers.

It was not possible to add stickers yourself and you had to be content with the available list.

WhatsApp has however decided to brighten up the lives of its users by offering them a tool allowing them to create their own stickers.

For now, the tool is only available on the web version, but it should arrive later on the PC app.

A sticker created in a few minutes

The creation of stickers is particularly easy.

To create your sticker, just go to the web version of WhatsApp and then click on the paperclip icon at the bottom left of the screen, next to where you write your messages.

You must then select the sticker option and choose the image, preferably in PNG format to preserve transparency.

Once the image is chosen, a personalization menu with a few simple tools opens. It is possible to crop the image or surround the part of the image that you want to keep. It is also possible to draw on the image and add text, emojis and… stickers on your stickers. Once the settings are complete, just send the sticker to see it appear in the chat.

To be able to continue using it easily on computer and even on the phone, just long press the sticker in the chat and tap the star icon that appears at the top.

The personalized sticker will now be easily accessible in any chat.

Likewise, it is possible to save your friends' stickers to reuse them elsewhere.

The saved stickers will appear in the "favorites" tab of the stickers.
