Parisian

confirmed by Europe 1. These are the police officers of the OCRVP (central office for the repression of violence against persons) who arrested the suspect.

The victim, a 17-year-old high school student at the time of the facts, was found strangled and stabbed in Château-Thierry, in the Aisne.

A genetic fingerprint emerged

It was DNA that spoke.

A genetic fingerprint found at the crime scene, and until then unknown, came out and matched the genetic fingerprint of the man arrested.

The suspect was already known to the police for a child abduction case.

He had also already been arrested in the Paris region.

The 54-year-old man was listed in the Fijais, the sex offender file.

In this case, the Michel Fourniret trail had even been explored.

The serial killer, nicknamed "the Ogre of the Ardennes", was convicted of eight murders and indicted for four crimes, before dying on May 10 at the age of 79.
