investigation into Seongnam Mayor Eun Su-mi's violation of the Political Fund Act is the starting point of this case.
This is because it was revealed that the police in charge of the investigation had leaked investigation secrets related to the Political Fund Act to Mayor Eun.
When the prosecution investigated this revelation, it came to light that several public officials and police were involved.
It is said that the police officers in charge delivered investigation secrets such as an investigation report, and Mayor Eun accepted a request for personnel in return.
At the request of the police, Seongnam City entered into a supply contract with a specific company, and the public official who was solicited was actually promoted or received the position of team leader.
Prosecutors have so far handed over 10 people to trial, including Mayor Silver.
Mayor Eun was charged with bribery and abuse of power, and he was also charged with receiving bribes worth 4.67 million won in cash and wine.
Park Mo, a former policy aide for Seongnam Mayor, is also accused of colluding with Mayor Eun.
Two local police officers have already been arrested and are being investigated.
Seongnam Mayor Eun Su-mi said that the prosecution's charges were not at all true, and said, "Through the trial, we have released a statement that we will reveal the innocence of the prosecution's political and unreasonable decision to indict.
