The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education uploaded a webtoon titled 'I envy North Korean friends!' on the official SNS on the 26th.
In North Korean schools, there is a scene where students are surprised when the teacher says that they eat packed lunches instead of lunch or go home.
Also, when North Korean children go on a picnic, students say, "I envy North Korea."
When a homeroom teacher is said to not change until graduation, students say, "I want to go to North Korea too!"
A public petition to the Blue House was also published asking the person in charge of posting the webtoon to be punished.
As the controversy spread, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education deleted the post about 20 hours after it was published.
