Yesterday (24th), at the funeral home of Mr. Chun Doo-hwan, only condolences from the 5 Republicans followed while active politicians were scarce.

A fight broke out among some mourners, and there was a commotion in which a flower with the name of former President Park Geun-hye on it was found to be fake.

Kim Yong-gap, the last chief of civil affairs in the 5th Republic, who visited Chun Doo-hwan's burial place, said, "I respect the deceased," and packaged the 'June 29 Declaration', which was made by national resistance, as his decision.

[Kim Yong-gap / Former Senior Secretary for Civil Affairs at the Blue House: We must give up the cabinet system that the ruling party insists on, and accept the direct system prepared by the opposition party.

I made this decision and reported it to President Chun Doo-hwan.]

However, the members of the 5th Republic were silent about the mistakes of Mr.

[Heo Hwa-pyeong / Former Senior Secretary for Political Affairs at the Blue House: (Evaluations on May 18 are divided...) It is a funeral hall, but I don't think it is a place to talk about politics.]

Among active lawmakers, former son-in-law of Mr. Only floor leader Kim Ki-hyun and Rep. Joo Ho-young came to pay their respects.

Conservative groups rallied outside the funeral home, and a fight broke out between citizens and some mourners demanding an apology for the 5/18 bloodshed.

A far-right conservative group installed an incense burner in front of Bosingak in Jongno, Seoul in the early morning of yesterday, but the Jongno-gu Office forcibly demolished it within two hours.

There was also a commotion in which a flower with the name of former President Park Geun-hye was delivered, but it was revealed as a fake and removed.

The funeral will be held as a family funeral home for five days, and the funeral will be held on the 27th.
