A 30-year-old suspect who murdered his ex-girlfriend, who was being protected by the police for dating violence and stalking, tried to self-harm during the police investigation.

According to Yonhap News coverage today (22nd), Suspect A tried to make an extreme choice by biting his tongue while being investigated at the Central Police Station in Seoul around 11 pm yesterday.

After receiving a report from the police, 119 was dispatched and inspected the inside of Mr. A's mouth, but the wound was not severe and he returned without taking any action.

After the investigation was over, he was sent to the Namdaemun Police Station detention center, and it is known that there is no life-threatening injury.

Yesterday, the police applied for an arrest warrant for A on a murder charge.

The interrogation of the suspect (warrant substantive examination) before the arrest of Mr. A is scheduled to be held at the Seoul Central District Court at 3 pm today.

A is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend with a knife in an officetel in Jeo-dong, Jung-gu, on the 19th.

The victim, unable to overcome months of threats and stalking, applied for personal protection from dating violence to the police.
