Today (15th) around 11:28 am, a fire broke out in a five-story postpartum care center building in Sangil-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, and about 70 people including newborns, mothers, and employees were evacuated.

The fire department, who responded to the report, put out the fire around 11:50 am.

According to the fire department, the fire started from an electric blanket on the fifth floor of the building where the mothers were staying.

It is known that smoke from the electric blanket triggered the sprinklers and did not spread the fire further, and there were no injuries in the fire.

Fire authorities and police are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage to the property.
