Kim Tae-hyun, who was sentenced to life in prison in the first trial for murdering three mothers and daughters in an apartment in Nowon-gu, Seoul, will hold the first trial of the appeal at the Seoul High Court on the 15th of next month.

Kim Tae-hyun is accused of murdering a woman he met while playing an online game in March, his sister, and his mother one after another.

Kim Tae-hyun claimed that the murder was accidental, only trying to subdue his younger sister, but the first trial judge did not accept it and sentenced him to life imprisonment, saying, "The murder of a family does not appear to be accidental."

At that time, the prosecution requested the court to impose the death penalty, the highest sentence in the court, saying, "There is no room to consider any other punishment other than extreme punishment."
