Recently, taking a profile picture after getting a great body through exercise is becoming fashionable. However, a report came in that the photos taken for personal collection were being used for health club promotion without knowing it.

This is reporter Jo Yoon-ha.

Jung Hee-jung, who enjoys SNS, received an absurd call from an acquaintance last August.

He said that his body profile picture was on the health club site, but this health club was a place he had never heard of.

[Jeong Hee-jung / Victim of body profile theft: The detail page, thumbnail, and even the main banner were all using my photos. My heart sank a little 'thump' and I was like, 'What is this?' I want to.] Turns

out, it was a picture taken by Jung at a photo studio.

It was a condition of taking a body profile for free and posting it on social media to promote the photo studio.

In the contract written at the time, it was written, "The filmed work can be used for exhibition, publicity, etc. at the photo studio."

But the photos weren't just used to promote the photo studio.

The photo studio handed over the entire photo file to its affiliated health club.

Jung's photo was used to promote PT and Pilates at the health club.

[Jeong Hee-jung / Victim of body profile theft: I usually wear clothes that show off my body a lot, and things like that.

Even just what I found, I don't know where and how it's going to run again...

.] When

Jung raised the issue, the photo studio offered a settlement amount.

[Photo studio side (Mr. Jung-Photo studio recording): Wouldn't it be better to just pay the lawyer's fee and finish it?

If you do not use the image, just agree.

If you write an agreement, we will immediately pay about 3 million won...

.] At

least 8 people have their body profiles stolen in this way.

The photo studio explained that they only provided the photos to the affiliated health club, did not exchange money, and said, "The photos are now down."

Also, "there was a part where the contents of the contract were vague," he said.

Victims are preparing to take legal action, including a claim for damages against the photo studio.
