PAU GASOL: THE IMPORTANT THING IS THE TRIP (AMAZON PRIME VIDEO)

Pau Gasol retired very recently

, accumulating successes, seasons in legendary teams such as

Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers and his beloved FC Barcelona

and many anecdotes.

All of that (or at least much of it) can be seen in an

Amazon Prime Video documentary series divided into four chapters.

The best? The

total access that the basketball player has given to the cameras

to enter his home, his training sessions and even in an operation in the hospital. And all, to show that Gasol's heart has not only been devoted to sports, but also to his family, friends and those who work with him, including his collaborations with the Gasol Foundation and UNICEF.

An invaluable talk with Phil Jackson in which he remembers how he introduced him to meditation, seeing Pau's parents talking about how their son combined medical and basketball studies or the interventions of Catherine (his wife) at home are some of the the

moments offered by a worked documentary, with contributions from collaborators and Gasol's testimonies on camera

as emotional as the one in which he is seen hours after the death of his great friend Kobe Bryant.

And, of course, it includes his last season as a professional player in Barcelona and his

farewell at the Liceu de la Música.

Few times we have been able to see Pau Gasol speaking so much in front of a camera about what has nothing to do with sport.

ANDRÉS INIESTA: THE UNEXPECTED HERO (Movistar +)

In this documentary, Andrés Iniesta opens on the channel. To begin with, because it starts by showing him, his wife and his four children at home, an image that is not very easy to see. An example that, beyond the

footballer who led Spain to win its first (and only) World Cup in 2010

, we are facing a very peculiar type. A boy from Fuentealbilla (Albacete) who has managed to achieve success in sport and who

will be remembered when he retires (he still plays in Japan) for his dribbling and his unique vision

. In addition to how he defeated his rivals on the field.

In

Andrés Iniesta: The Unexpected Hero

(Movistar +), the participation of footballers and coaches speaking before the camera is overwhelming.

Messi, Valdano, Xavi, Luis Enrique or Sergio Ramos

are some of the well-known faces that gloss over the virtues of Iniesta, recognizing with total naturalness that

they have never seen anything like it in a football stadium.

Of course, the inclusion of stock images increases the interest of every football fan to follow a story that intersperses statements,

football clips and scenes of Iniesta himself in his private life.

80 minutes that sports lovers will taste but also those who do not remember well the figure of this midfielder.

And, as a curiosity, we discovered that one of Andrés Iniesta's great memories is the

Brunete Tournament when he was a juvenile in Albacete in 1996

.

Or how you dealt with psychological problems you had in the past.

For those who enjoy sports documentaries, many have been released in recent times.

And very good.

This is the case of

Schumacher

, on Netflix;

from

The Legend of Sergio Ramos

, on Amazon Prime Video and from various productions that recall the figure of Diego Armando Maradona.
