The Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) is gathering around Dongdaemun Station at the location of the National Workers' Congress where about 20,000 people participate today (13th).

The Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) announced at around 1 pm today, "As the government and the Seoul Metropolitan Government disallowed the National Workers' Congress, the scheduled meeting location will be moved to the vicinity of Dongdaemun."

The original gathering place was near Yeouido Park.

The KCTU said, "After confirming that there is no change in the positions of the government and the Seoul Metropolitan Government, we have secured a distance for the safety of about 20,000 participants, and at the same time, have decided on a location near Dongdaemun Station near Pyeonghwa Market, where the spirit of martyr Jeon Tae-il resides."

Today's conference will be held in the form of announcing the joint presidential election declarations of the KCTU and five progressive parties under the theme of resolving polarization of inequality and transforming into an egalitarian society.

The Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) will argue that the Labor Standards Act should be applied to all workers, including workplaces with fewer than 5 employees, very short-time workers less than 15 hours a week, and platform workers.

We also plan to call for the abolition of non-regular workers in the public sector and the complete abolition of the Dispatch Act.

When the KCTU chose Dongdaemun, which is outside the police blockade, as a gathering place, the police are also moving some of their careers, which were mainly located on Sejong-daero in Gwanghwamun, to Dongdaemun.

It is known that the police plan to keep the trains passing through seven subway stations, including Gyeongbokgung Station, Gwanghwamun Station, City Hall Station, Jonggak Station, Anguk Station, and Euljiro 1-ga Station, for a while in preparation for further movement of protesters.
