A man in his 50s who has been stalking his ex-girlfriend's vehicle and bicycle with a location tracking device has been arrested by the police.



The Incheon Police Agency said that it had arrested a man in his 50s, the Stalking Punishment Act, the Location Information Act, and special intimidation, and sent it to the prosecution.



A is accused of stalking the victim and acquaintances by attaching 6 location tracking devices to the vehicle of the victim and the victim's acquaintances, threatening to rush into a vehicle by visiting the victim who was a former lover in July.




In the course of the investigation, the police secured a CCTV video of Mr. A wearing a dust-proof suit and attaching a location tracking device to the victim's vehicle.



On the 26th of last month, the Incheon Police Agency, which was in charge of the investigation, arrested Mr. A, who was hiding somewhere in Gyeonggi-do.



The police have proposed to the Korea Communications Commission and the National Assembly a plan to improve the system so that information about buyers can be managed and checked by investigative agencies to prevent crimes using location tracking devices.
