Police have launched an investigation after receiving a report that a daycare teacher at a daycare center in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, abused a 5-year-old girl.

Today (1st), the Chungbuk National Police Agency announced that it plans to file a case against a daycare center teacher, A, for violating the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Child Abuse Crimes.

Mr. A is accused of abuse by forcibly pulling the arm of the student B in September and putting it in the soup served on the plate.

Miss B is known to have returned home on the day of the incident and told her parents, "The teacher put my hands in the soup. I don't want to go to daycare."

Both parents of B confirmed the abuse through the CCTV video of the daycare center, and it is said that the director heard the words of both parents of B and reported Mr. A to the police.
