psychiatric ward of a nursing hospital in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, where a large-scale group infection occurred, 121 people were confirmed until yesterday.



Most of the staff and patients in this ward have already been vaccinated, indicating that 88% of confirmed cases are breakthrough infections.



Ahead of Halloween Day, foreigner-populated areas such as Itaewon, Seoul, started to be crowded with people from yesterday evening.



Quarantine authorities announced that the time limit for multi-use facilities will be relaxed from 5 am on Monday, November 1, not midnight on Sunday night, due to concerns about the spread of the aftermath of Halloween Day before the phased recovery of daily life is implemented.



The Seoul Metropolitan Government has also announced that it will carry out intensive joint crackdowns on major areas where crowds gather in relation to Halloween throughout the weekend.



Of the 2,104 confirmed cases yesterday, 2,89 people were infected in Korea, excluding 15 cases imported from abroad.



By region, 1,539 cases were confirmed in the metropolitan area, and 550 cases were confirmed in non-metropolitan areas as well.



The death toll rose by 13, bringing the total to 2,830.



As of yesterday, more than 41.09 million people, or 80% of the population, had been vaccinated, of which 74.6% of the total population were vaccinated.
