The police are investigating the 57-year-old principal A, who was accused of secretly installing a small camera in the school female teacher's bathroom.

Principal A is recently accused of installing a small camera inside the bathroom of a female teacher at an elementary school where he works in Anyang City.

It is said that a school employee who was trying to use the toilet at that time discovered a small camera installed near the toilet and reported it to the school.

The police, who arrived after receiving the report, were suspicious of the fact that Principal A was passive in reporting even though he was a school administrator, and confirmed the fact of the crime during the interview.

There was no video of the body taken by the camera found at the time, but a video material suspected of being illegally filmed was found on the cell phone of Principal A.

In the police investigation, Principal A is known to have partially denied the allegations, saying, "It is true that the camera was installed, but there was no sexual intent."

Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education immediately dismissed Principal A and began an audit.

In the future, we plan to take disciplinary action against Principal A by reflecting the results of the police investigation.

In addition, Anyang Office of Education has set up an emergency response team to provide psychological counseling and support for the restoration of community trust to school members where the incident occurred.

Gyeonggi Education Superintendent Lee Jae-jeong, who convened an emergency response meeting in the morning, said, "The principal in charge of school education expresses serious concerns about the occurrence of an unfortunate incident, and feels responsible for what should not happen in the school and the education world."

"We will actively support the necessary measures so that there are no difficulties for students, parents, and teachers, and we will take the strongest and strictest measures to prevent this from happening again," he said.
