According to the official WeChat news of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, a few days ago, the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Notice on Starting the Pilot Application of New Energy Vehicle Battery Exchange Mode" (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"), and decided to start the new Pilot work on the application of battery swap mode for energy vehicles.

A total of 11 cities are included in the pilot range, including 8 comprehensive application cities (Beijing, Nanjing, Wuhan, Sanya, Chongqing, Changchun, Hefei, Jinan), and 3 heavy-duty truck specialties (Yibin, Tangshan, Baotou).

  The "Notice" puts forward clear requirements for the pilot work: First, strengthen work coordination, establish a coordination mechanism, and effectively strengthen the organization and implementation of pilot work for the application of power exchange modes; second, establish and improve safety management systems, strengthen safety supervision, and effectively guarantee the replacement of power stations and Electric vehicles are safe in operation; the third is to strengthen policy implementation, model exploration, and innovation support, and accelerate the formation of replicable and extendable experience.

  In order to implement the "New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021-2035)" and promote the innovative development of new energy vehicle power exchange models, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with relevant departments, issued the "Regarding the Organization and Implementation of New Energy Vehicle Power Exchange" in April this year. On the basis of the declaration of each city and the review by the provincial competent department, the list of pilot cities was comprehensively determined after formal review, expert material review, and video defense review.
