The interrogation of the suspect over whether or not to arrest Prosecutor Son Jun-seong, who was accused of systematically instigating prosecutions against passport officials during his tenure as former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, ended in two and a half hours.

Judge Lee Se-chang in charge of warrants of the Seoul Central District Court conducted a warrant substantive review on the hand test from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today (26th).

Prosecutor Sohn left the court after the interrogation was over and got into the convoy without answering reporters' questions such as 'what did you explain?'

Prosecutor Sohn appeared in court and said, "I will explain in detail the injustice of the warrant request."

On the side of the Ministry of Public Safety and Security, Deputy Prosecutor Yeo Woon-guk, who is the head of the investigation team's investigation team for alleged indictment of the accusation, appeared in person and emphasized the necessity of an arrest investigation, while Prosecutor Sohn and the lawyers for Sohn expressed the injustice of the investigation.

Previously, the Airborne Service and Sohn Prosecutors had been coordinating the Airborne Service attendance schedule since the 4th, but it was not confirmed until the 19th.

In response, the Ministry of Airborne Affairs requested an arrest warrant for the hand test on the 20th, the next day, but it was dismissed.

After that, Prosecutor Sohn requested to change the scheduled attendance schedule on the 22nd to November 2nd for reasons such as appointing an attorney, but the Ministry of Airborne Affairs judged this to be non-compliant with the summons and requested an arrest warrant in advance.

The Ministry of Airborne Affairs is arguing that Prosecutor Sohn has shown a non-cooperative attitude by delaying attendance several times, and Prosecutor Sohn is arguing that the Airborne Service has violated his right to defense by urging him to attend, referring to the presidential election schedule.

Whether to issue an arrest warrant for the hand test is expected to be decided later tonight.

Prosecutors will wait at the Seoul Detention Center until the court makes a decision.
