The police investigating the so-called 'water bottle poison case' that occurred at a company in Seocho-gu, Seoul decided to apply the murder charge to the suspect who died.

The Seocho Police Station in Seoul has decided to change the charge of the suspect, Kang Mo, a 35-year-old man, from the existing special injury to murder.

This is in response to the fact that the team leader in his 40s, who was Kang's boss, drank water from a bottle of water on the 18th and fell in critical condition and died the day before (23rd).

At about 2 pm on the 18th, at the office, team leader A and employee B drank bottled water on the desk and said, "The water tastes strange," and then lost consciousness.

B recovered consciousness after being transported to the hospital, and A was transferred to the intensive care unit, but eventually died.

Police discovered that Kang had purchased sodium azide, a toxic chemical found in the victim's blood, on the Internet.

Kang was found dead after making an extreme choice at his home after the incident.

Usually, when the suspect dies, the case is closed with 'no right to prosecute', but the police launched a forced investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident and charged Kang.

However, the police said, "There is a need for further investigation into the motive of the crime."

Kang left no evidence to inform his motives, such as a suicide note.
