The police recently concluded that they were not charged with a case in which the bereaved family of the late Son Jung-min, who was found dead at the Hangang Park in April, sued his friend A.

Following the end of the internal investigation of the death case in June, the police investigation into Son's death is virtually complete.

The Seocho Police Station in Seoul decided not to send the case to the prosecution on the 22nd, after investigating the case in which Son's family sued A for assault and murder for four months.

On June 23, Son's father, Son Hyun, filed a complaint accusing him of being responsible for the death of his friend, who drank with him right before his son's disappearance.

The police even tried reassessing the T-shirt that Son was wearing at the time of the incident through the National Forensic Service, but it is known that no clues have been found to prove the charges.

The police are known to have reached the conclusion that the wound on the back of Son's head does not directly lead to the cause of death.

However, it is said that the bereaved family strongly opposed the police's decision not to appeal.

Even if the police decide not to appeal, if the complainant raises an objection, the case must be sent to the prosecutor's office again.

It is known that Son's family's complaint against Mr. A was made with the intention of continuing the investigation when the police tried to close the case at the end of June by referring the case to the Incident Deliberation Committee.

On June 29, the Death Case Deliberation Committee, which was composed of an internal member of the police’s internal and external experts and external members such as law and medical experts, concluded that Son could not be considered murdered, and the police closed the case accordingly. .
