man in his 60s who was receiving treatment at home after being diagnosed with Corona died one day after the confirmation. It was the first time that a home-treated patient died, and it took an hour to be transferred to the hospital after reporting that he was not in good condition. This means that there is a problem with the management and transport system for home treatment patients.

Reporter Park Chan-geun reports.

Yesterday (21st) at 6:51 a.m., the wife of Mr. A in his 60s, who was confirmed with Corona, called for help to 119 saying, "My husband, who is undergoing home treatment, suddenly lost his energy."

Mr. A had no underlying disease, but his symptoms worsened one day after the diagnosis.

It was a general 119 ambulance that arrived 14 minutes after the report.

An ambulance dedicated to COVID-19 was needed to transport the confirmed patient.

This is the security log of the apartment where the deceased man lived.

It is written that the ambulance dedicated to COVID-19 arrived in front of the dong only at 7:35 and left the apartment at 7:47.

It has been 56 minutes since the 911 call.

Mr. A was already in cardiac arrest 20 minutes before being transported, and died after being transferred to the hospital.

It was a problem when the ambulance arrived.

The fire department operates an ambulance dedicated to Corona by wrapping the inside of the general ambulance with an infection prevention film every morning, but the dispatch was delayed because this work was not completed at the time of reporting.

Also, no information was shared with the paramedics, such as the location of the at-home treatment cooperative hospital that was linked to the deceased.

[Seo Sun-tak / Head of Disaster Response Division, Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters: I am sorry for the case of death.

(Transportation) was delayed, but there was a slight delay in the selection of hospitals for that part.] The

government, together with the fire department, began a simultaneous inspection of the transfer systems for home therapists in 17 cities and provinces.
