Attorney Lim Yoon-soo, who is known as a close aide to Woo Byung-woo, former senior civil affairs officer, has withdrawn his application for the new chief prosecutor of the High-ranking Public Officials Crime Investigation Office.

Regarding lawyer Lim Yoon-soo, who was recommended to the Blue House as a candidate for the chief prosecutor, the Ministry of Airborne Affairs said, "I have been informed of my intention to withdraw my application, and I respected my intention and notified the Ministry of Human Resources and Innovation."

Attorney Lim, a former prosecutor of the prosecution, was included in the list of 10 candidates for the prosecutor's office recommended to the president by the personnel committee of the Ministry of Airborne Affairs on the 1st.

Some in the Democratic Party also argued that Lim was an inappropriate person, emphasizing that he was close to former Blue House chief civil affairs secretary Woo Byung-woo, who was sentenced to death for illegal inspections through the National Intelligence Service during the Park Geun-hye administration.
