Former President Donald Trump is launching his own social media platform called TRUTH Social.

Starting next month, selected users will be able to experience a beta version of the platform.

TRUTH Social will be the first platform of a newly formed media company.

The still-unnamed company is the merger company of the Trump Media & Technology Group and the Digital World Acquisition Group.

According to Trump, the media company must become a counterpart to the "liberal media companies".

“We live in a world where the Taliban have a huge presence on Twitter, but your favorite US president is silenced,” Trump wrote in a statement.

The former president has been banned from social media for several months for his role in the January 6 storming of the Capitol.

For example, Twitter, the former president's communication tool for many years, has permanently blocked his account.

Twitter cited "the risk of further incitement to violence" as the reason.

In June, Facebook announced that it would ban Trump for at least another two years.
