As I said before, the prosecution did not ask for an arrest warrant for Nam-wook who had been arrested, but released him at dawn today (20th). The reason was not enough research.

Reporter Son Hyung-an pointed out whether the prosecution's investigation was being carried out properly.

Attorney Nam Wook was arrested as soon as he arrived at Incheon International Airport after staying in the United States for a month.

He immediately went to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office and was investigated for a full two days on charges such as promising to pay bribes.

The request for an arrest warrant for lawyer Nam was expected as a natural procedure, but the prosecution released him contrary to expectations.

The investigation team said that the investigation was not completed within the 48-hour arrest time limit and that it would decide whether to request an arrest warrant after further investigation.

Attorney Nam, who was released, again appears at the prosecutor's office and is being investigated.

[Namwook / Attorney: (To the prosecution) I am explaining it well, and I will tell you the truth in the future.]

Unlike the usual procedure for arresting suspects, the prosecution seems to be a little hesitant in securing a new recruit for lawyer Nam. There are mixed opinions about the prosecution's investigation.

Currently, the key evidence secured by the prosecution is in a situation where there is nothing other than the transcript submitted by Accountant Jeong Young-hak, so there is an observation that the investigation itself is in a crisis where its power is declining without finding a breakthrough.

On the other hand, there is an objection that the prosecution, who had suffered once for a hasty arrest warrant request for Kim Man-bae, the owner of Hwacheon Daewoo, chose a cautious method of requesting an arrest warrant after securing additional evidence related to the charges against lawyer Nam.

This means that the prosecution considers Nam's securing of new recruits as a watershed for continuing the power of the investigation.
