The first snow of this fall was observed in Seoraksan National Park before the autumn leaves reached their peak.

The Seoraksan National Park Office announced that the first snow of this fall was observed near the Jungcheong Shelter for about an hour from 10 am on the 19th.

At the time of the first snow observation, the temperature was 0.4 degrees Celsius, the wind speed was 0.6 meters per second, and no snowfall was recorded.

The first snow on Mt. Seorak this fall was 15 days earlier than on November 3 last year and one day later than on October 18, 2019.

The Seoraksan National Park Office advised that hiking in Seoraksanwon in winter requires special attention as it consumes physical strength and can lead to serious accidents due to low temperatures.
