Prosecutor General Oh-su Kim was accused of hiding the fact that he had served as an advisory lawyer for Seongnam City before the appointment of Prosecutor General.
According to the personnel hearing request submitted today (18th) by Rep. Han-Hong Yoon of the People's Power of the National Assembly Legislation and Judiciary Committee at the time of President Kim's personnel hearing, President Kim did not list his experience as an advisor to Seongnam City in his career details.
As a career after retiring from the Deputy Minister of Justice in April last year, only one activity as an advisor to Hwahyeon Law Firm from September 2020 to May 3, 2021 was listed.
Recently, President Kim has been embroiled in controversy after the fact that he acted as an advisory lawyer in Seongnam City from December 1 of last year to May 7 of this year.
Because of this, the opposition is criticizing the neutrality of the prosecution's investigation into the Daejang-dong allegation.
Rep. Yoon said, "It is doubtful that he intentionally did not include it in his career in order not to reveal a certain political color at the time of the personnel hearing and not to reveal his relationship with Seongnam City."
