Rep. Lee Jong-bae, the People's Power, said it was confirmed that Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung signed at least 10 internal official documents related to the Daejang-dong development plan during his time as mayor of Seongnam.

According to data submitted by Seongnam City, Lee Jong-bae, a member of the People's Power, said that candidate Lee Jae-myung signed an official document containing the details of the Daejang-dong development project from 2014 to 2016 when he was the mayor of Seongnam, as the final approver 10 times.

This list includes everything from official documents at the initial stage of the project, such as the 'Report on the Promotion Plan for Designation of Urban Development Zones', to the official documents on key procedures such as the 'Notice of Establishment of the Urban Development Zone Development Plan' and 'Report on Changes'.

Among them, the official document of 'Report on Investment Approval Review for Other Corporations' in February 2015 states that investment in Seongnam Garden (SPC) is necessary "so that the private sector does not give too much priority to profits."

Rep. Lee Jong-bae raised the issue, saying that Lee Jong-bae expected the excessive profits of private contractors and then neglected the removal of the excess profit recovery clause.

Rep. Lee Jong-bae said, "There may be more documents signed by Candidate Jae-myung Lee." He argued, "If Seongnam City Hall's approval line received every report about the Hwacheon Daeyu, it would be difficult to avoid charges of breach of trust."

Candidate Jae-myung Lee countered that it is a natural process for the mayor to sign the mayor's signature in the city's administration.

An official from Lee Jae-myung's side said, "The Daejang-dong project is not a corrupt business, and I don't know what's wrong with paying the business report according to the official administrative procedure."

He continued, "It was the power of the people that worked to monopolize profits through private development," he said.
