A man in his 20s who was being investigated by the police for driving under the influence of a license without a license fled with handcuffs in the process of handing over to the prosecution.
Ansan Sangnok Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced that they are looking for the whereabouts of A, a 26-year-old man who ran away from the prosecution at around 6:10 pm on the 14th.
At around 3:50 pm the day before, Mr. A was investigated by the police for drunk driving and driving without a license. During the police investigation, it was confirmed that Mr. A was wanted by the prosecution for assault in 2017.
Two employees from the Ansan branch of the Suwon District Prosecutor's Office stopped by the police station and took over Mr. A, but immediately after the prosecution took over, Mr. A suddenly ran away.
After that, it is known that Mr. A got into a taxi from the area around Geongeon-dong, Sangnok-gu, Ansan-si, after driving away with an acquaintance's car at the police station.
The police are searching for the whereabouts of A by sending 30 detectives from the violent team.
