Attorney Nam-wook Nam, who earned over 100 billion won in profits as the owner of Cheonhwa-dong No. 4, claimed in an interview with the media that he was not familiar with the process of the Daejang-dong business.
He emphasized that he only cooperated with land expropriation in Daejang-dong, but had no role after 2015, when he was arrested in the prosecution investigation.
He said that he did not know about the process of selecting a Daejang-dong business operator, nor about the political relations lobby.
He also said that he knew that Hwacheon Daeyu had wrought the share distribution among business partners, and that Kim Man-bae never explained this in detail.
It seems to be an intention to escape from legal responsibility by emphasizing that he has nothing to do with the preferential treatment and lobbying allegations of the Daejang-dong development project, which is the main investigation target of the prosecution.
However, the circumstances surrounding lawyer Nam's involvement are already being revealed in several places.
It is not surprising that he received a check for 400 million won from Mr. Kim Man-bae, and sent 3.5 billion won to Yuwon Holdings, which was created by former general manager Yoo Dong-gyu to start a new business after retirement.
It is also known that the prosecution also recorded the role of lawyer Nam in the process of selecting a business in Daejang-dong in the contents of Kim Man-bae's arrest warrant.
