Good news for travelers.

SNCF reinforces the attractiveness of the TGV journey by now offering streaming films.

This new service will be offered from the TGV Inoui Portal accessible on board trains from a device connected by Wi-Fi, this Monday.

SNCF already offered entertaining content to travelers.

The latter could, for example, benefit from press titles, games, podcasts or even documentaries.

For the first time, streaming films will therefore be added to this offer.

The transport company will rely on the services of Moment, a company specializing in digital services for the travel industry.

A more complete offer for the Pro traveler

The content will be stored on servers on board the trains. “Many features have been developed to provide a reading experience adapted to mobile devices (optimized loading times, mini-players, dark mode, etc.). No need to download an application, the TGV Inoui Portal can be viewed in a browser after connecting to Wi-Fi on board, ”said SNCF in a press release.

The new service will be free for all travelers, but not everyone will get the same offer.

“The content is differentiated according to the type of ticket the traveler has: Leisure, Family or Professional.

The pro target, who spends a lot of time on trains, benefits for example from a more complete offer, with 35 films and 43 press titles, ”explains SNCF.

Another limit: the capacity offered by the on-board Wi-Fi, which depends on the operators' 4G coverage.
