A man was caught by the police after breaking into a convenience store with a weapon and throwing a flowerpot at a police officer who arrived from the ninth floor of an apartment building.



The Yangcheon Police Station in Seoul announced that it is investigating and arresting a man in his 70s on charges of obstructing the execution of special duties.



Mr. A is suspected of entering a convenience store in Yangcheon-gu around 10 pm yesterday (10th) and threatening an employee with a knife, and then throwing a flowerpot at a police officer who came from the 9th floor of his apartment.



Fortunately, the convenience store staff and police were not seriously injured.



A was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time.



In addition, at the time of the arrest, burnt newspapers and a fan were also found in Mr. A's house.
