Yesterday (9th) on the streets of Hongdae, Seoul, two foreign men quarreled with a passing vehicle and assaulted the driver.

These men were soldiers serving at the US military base in Pyeongtaek.

A foreign man is having a conversation with his party on the street, and suddenly folds the side mirror of a car passing behind him by hand.




The quarrel began when the driver got out of the car and protested.



The man, who continued to argue with the driver even when the other party stopped him, throws the bottle of soju in his hand at the windshield of the car.



As the fight broke out, a black man who was stopping the fight also joined in and swung his fists at the driver.

A police investigation revealed that the two foreign men who assaulted the driver were soldiers serving at the US military base in Pyeongtaek.



Police handed the two men over to the US military police force.



After the Corona crisis, the proportion of foreign visitors is increasing on the streets of Hongdae compared to the decreased number of Koreans.



However, local merchants complain that they are very anxious about the protruding behavior of foreigners who do not take the Korean government's quarantine guidelines seriously.
