Prosecutors investigating the allegation of manipulation of Deutsche Motors stock prices seized and searched the headquarters of Deutsche Motors.
The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office of Anti-corruption Violent Investigation Division 2 (Chief Prosecutor Jo Joo-yeon) sent prosecutors and investigators to the headquarters of Deutsche Motors today (8th) to execute a search and seizure warrant.
Prosecutors are suspecting whether Deutsche Motors Chairman Kwon Oh-soo's stock and funds were provided by Kim Gun-hee, the wife of former Attorney General Yoon Seok-yeol, in the process of manipulating stock prices through market price adjustments from 2010 to 2011 after the IPO of Deutsche Motors in 2009.
Prosecutors also requested an arrest warrant for those involved in the case, and one of them is arrested, and the other is undergoing a substantive review of the warrant today.
