Chuncheon District Court Criminal Division 1 (Chief Judge Kim Cheong-mi) sentenced a 34-year-old man charged with special injury and damage to special property to 10 months in prison, breaking the original sentence that sentenced him to 1 year and 6 months in prison and 2 years of probation. Mr. A went to the factory where Mr. B worked in Wonju-si, Gangwon-do, drunk at around 2 am on August 17, 2019, when his ex-boyfriend Mr. B did not meet him.



After that, Mr. A crashed into Mr. B's car, which was parked at the factory, several times with his car, and then broke through the exterior wall of the factory.



In this accident, the bumper of Mr. B's car fell off and the factory building was damaged, resulting in more than 20 million won in damage. One employee inside the plant suffered a knee and other injury that required treatment for two weeks.



At the time of dating, Mr. A broke the saying, 'Your friend is home, so come home late.' When Mr. B came home early, it was investigated that Mr. B hit Mr. B's head and face several times with glass bottles and porcelain.



The court of first instance sentenced A to a probation, considering that A reached an agreement with B, and B did not want punishment.




However, the court of appeals sentenced him to a sentence of imprisonment, saying, "It is appropriate to have a time of penance in prison," and arrested Mr. A on the spot.



The court pointed out that "two years after the incident, there was enough time to look around and compensate for the damage, but no action was taken for the victims."



Mr. B, who had expressed his intention not to be punished in the first trial, also wanted punishment, saying that he wrote a petition regardless of my will was also reflected in the sentencing.
