Another design flaw?

After the Galaxy Note 7 battery scandal exploding in the hands of their users, Samsung could again be the subject of a security scandal, this time concerning its Galaxy Z Fold 3 foldable smartphone.

A man recently posted a video on Twitter in which his phone is seen emitting smoke.

The Samsung's shell has a hole and the battery is clearly overheating, reports Phonandroid.

“[The phone] exploded when I was getting ready to pack it,” explains the user who was going to send the smartphone by parcel.

“I had to throw it in the garage.

There was certainly damage to integrity.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 blew up on me when I was getting ready to box it up.

Had to throw it in the garage.

Definitely had some integrity damage.

Can you imagine if it did this in shipping 🙁 pic.twitter.com/OnPHfZmKod

A fall from a bike a few days before

The man is worried about what would have happened if the Galaxy Fold had caught fire once in the package, among other boxes in a postal sorting center.

"Imagine if he had done that during transport…" he wrote to conclude his tweet.

In another message, the user still specified that his smartphone was already damaged at the time of the incident.

"This phone (which I just brought back from a Samsung repair center where I was told to mail it in for replacement) fell off my bike about a week ago" , he says.

“I'm sure he had integrity damage that caused this.

Samsung has yet to comment on the subject.
