A gang of delivery drivers who pretended to pay with credit cards received from customers and illegally copied and sold the cards were caught by the police.



The Busan Dongnae Police Station announced today (28th) that they arrested five people, including delivery driver A, who illegally copied a credit card, and also arrested three people, including Mr. B, who bought and used a duplicated card.



Mr. A and others are accused of duplicating card information using a credit card duplicator after handed cards to 10 customers who ordered food through a delivery app in June of this year.



They are accused of making counterfeit cards with duplicated information and selling them to Mr. B and others through Telegram for 500,000 per sheet.




Mr. B and others are accused of spending 17.43 million won on duplicate cards in July and August of this year nationwide.



According to the police, Mr. A and others swipe the customer's credit card on a replicator, read the card information, said "Payment did not work," and then put it into a real card terminal to pay.



Two terminals were used for payment because the replicator and card terminal were different, but customers did not notice this.



Police said, "In the case of replicating machines, you have to 'scratch' because they read information using the magnet of the credit card. said.



The police said that among the five people who committed the card cloning crime, including Mr. A, the person in charge of the crime was a teenager.



After being punished and released from prison, it is said that he made this crime right away.
