Man-bae, the owner of Hwacheon Daeyu, was investigated yesterday (27th) by the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul as a witness.

Kim, who attended around 10 am yesterday, left the police station at around 10:30 pm after completing the investigation for more than 12 hours.

[Kim Manbae / Owner of Hwacheon Daeyu: I received a good investigation in good faith. In the future, if necessary, we will actively cooperate with the investigation to help resolve allegations.]

According to the Hwacheon Daewoo audit report, Kim borrowed 47.3 billion won from the company as a long-term loan until last year.

Kim said he used it for operating expenses, but the Financial Intelligence Service of the Financial Services Commission reported that there were several suspicious parts in the transaction and notified the police.

The police focused on investigating the circumstances and whereabouts of the large amount of company money borrowed on that day, and focused on checking whether there were any suspicions of crimes such as embezzlement and breach of trust.

The police are also planning to conduct an investigation as a reference for Mr. Lee, the CEO of Cheonhwa Dongin, an affiliate of Hwacheon Daeyu.

So far, the police have been subject to internal investigations on three people: the owner, Man-bae Kim, CEO Lee Seong-moon, and Mr. Lee.

It seems that it will take some time to collate the financial account data sent by the Korea Financial Intelligence Service, the accounting details, and their statements.

After that, it seems that a search and seizure will be carried out if necessary.

Based on this investigation, the police plan to decide whether to switch from the internal investigation stage to a formal investigation.
