While the spread of COVID-19 in Korea is getting stronger, the number of new confirmed cases today (27th) was in the late 2,300 range.

The Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters (Bangdaebon) announced that as of 00:00 today, the number of new confirmed cases increased by 2,383 to a cumulative total of 303,553.

It was down 388 people from yesterday (2,771 people), but it is the fourth largest since the domestic Corona 19 crisis.

In particular, it is the highest number of confirmed cases on Sunday (Monday as of the announcement date).

This is 778 more than the previous high of 1,605 on Sunday of last week (as of the 19th, 00:00 on the 20th of the announcement date).

It is a significant decrease compared to last week's 3,000 confirmed cases, but it is difficult to see that the spread of the virus has slowed as the effect of the decrease in weekend and holiday inspections is reflected at once.

Usually, the number of cases slows down at the beginning of the week, and then increases again from Wednesday, the starting point in the middle of the week.

If you look at the route of infection of the new confirmed cases today, 2,356 cases were local and 27 were imported.

The 4th pandemic, which started in early July, has continued for nearly three months, showing no signs of easing.

A 'delta-type' mutant virus originating in India, which has a stronger contagious power, is leading the epidemic, and the aftermath of a large-scale movement during the Chuseok holiday is starting to appear in non-metropolitan areas in earnest, raising concerns about a nationwide spread.

The number of confirmed cases per day was counted at four digits for 83 days in a row since July 7 (1,211).

From the 21st to today, if you look at the new confirmed cases in the last week, 1,729 → 1,720 → 1,715 → 2,431 → 3,272 → 2,771 → 2,383 by day At least 1,600 people, and at most 3,000 people came out.
