A thief suspect in his 20s who fled in handcuffs just before being imprisoned in prison was arrested.
The Gyeonggi-do Uijeongbu Police Station said that “A” surrendered to the Gyeonggi-do Hanam Police Station at around 8:20 pm today (26th).
After being investigated by the prosecution yesterday afternoon, Mr. A was waiting for a corona test before being imprisoned in prison, and then fled to the prison gate.
It is said that Mr. A ran about 100 meters while wearing handcuffs and escaped to a place with bushes and a drainage ditch.
The police will investigate the circumstances of Mr. A's escape and hand it over to the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors' Office.
