According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.6 occurred in an area 14 km south of Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, around 12:02 pm today (23rd).



This earthquake is the 6th largest earthquake on the Korean Peninsula this year.



The epicenter is 35.42 degrees north latitude and 128.49 degrees east longitude, and the depth of the earthquake is 16 km.



Earthquake maps are Gyeongnam 4, Gyeongbuk, Daegu, Busan, and Jeonnam 2.



Seismic intensity 4 is a level that many people feel indoors, some wake up, and bowls and windows shake.



Seismic intensity 2 can only be felt by a small number of people in a quiet state or on the upper floors of a building.



The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) urged people to be careful about safety, saying, "In areas near the earthquake, you may feel earthquakes."
