Thomas Pesquet, on a mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS) since April 23, publishes photos of France seen from space every day on social networks.

The French astronaut put the Loire and the region surrounding the river in the spotlight this Sunday by sharing a photo of Orleans on his Facebook page.

As always, Internet users did not fail to react to these impressive photos.

Some have tried to locate their house there.

On all the pictures, we can follow the Loire from its source in the Massif Central to its mouth in Saint-Nazaire, passing through Nantes (Loire-Atlantique), Angers (Maine-et-Loire), Tours ( Indre-et-Loire), Orléans or Roanne (Loire), details France 3 Center-Val de Loire.

90 minutes to circle the earth

During previous shooting sessions from space, Thomas Pesquet had immortalized Cannes, Nice, Bordeaux but also Marseille and their surroundings.

Traveling at a speed of 28,000 km / h and at an altitude of approximately 370 kilometers, the International Space Station takes approximately 90 minutes to circle the entire Earth.

Thomas Pesquet is expected to be back on Earth by the end of October.
