Another family Cheonjong wild ginseng was discovered on Mt. Jirisan in Hamyang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do.

According to the Korean Traditional Simmani Association today (20th), Hwang, a 67-year-old herbalist living in Hamyang, was hiking at the foot of Mt. Jirisan in Hyucheon-myeon on the 15th.

The weight of the pure root alone is 2 nyang and 2 poin (83 g), and it is estimated to be over 100 years old.

Jasam (baby hemp) is also estimated to be over 35 years old.

All nine roots have an appraised value of 120 million won.

This wild ginseng is dark yellow and has a brain head like the tree ring of a pine tree, except for the mother wild ginseng and the second and third major wild ginseng.

In Hamyang, 8 roots of Cheonjong wild ginseng from the 4th generation family were discovered in June this year alone.

An official of the association explained that the reason why Cheonjong wild ginseng is frequently found in the natural state is because of last year's floods and heavy snow, and frequent rains this spring and this summer.

It means that many wild ginseng, which had been sleeping without sprouting for self-treatment, is revitalized by smooth moisture supply and revealed.

The appraiser of wild ginseng is still citing the past method of applying the price of ginseng and gold price, which was only grown with natural compost 200 years ago during the Joseon Dynasty without fertilizer or pesticides.

Jeong Hyeong-beom, president of the Korean Traditional Simmani Association, said, "Even though the excellence of domestic wild ginseng has been proven since before the Three Kingdoms era, the price is very undervalued at 1/6 that of Chinese wild ginseng."
