"Get out of the traitor", "Where are you coming from?"

When the car in which former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, the leader of the People's Power, arrived at the birthplace of former President Park Chung-hee in Sangmo-dong, Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do, around 10 am today (17th), harsh words were poured out here and there.

When former President Yoon got out of the car and headed for the memorial, hundreds of people including attendants, police, members of conservative groups and officials of the Republican Party of Korea got tangled up and a fight began.

After walking about 50m amidst the commotion, former President Yoon arrived at the memorial hall and bowed his head with flowers and incense at the memorials of former President Park and his wife.

After stopping by photos of former President Park while he was still alive, he left for the next destination, Yeongdeok Market, without saying a word.

Yoon stayed at his birthplace for just over 10 minutes, but tensions began to circulate an hour before he arrived at the site.

About 100 members of conservative groups and Republican Party officials blocked the entrance to their birthplace, holding placards and pickets with contents such as 'Freedom to President Park Geun-hye' and 'Go away, Seok-yeol Yoon, who arrested the innocent president'.

Former President Yoon's team rehearsed in advance, and the ambulance was on standby in case of an emergency.

About 100 police officers lined up from the arrival point of the vehicle to the memorial hall to secure the access road, reminiscent of an emergency situation.

After the arrival of former President Yoon, the site became a mess with hundreds of people entangled, but no one was injured.
